Need help with networking

I need some help setting my wireless network. My brothers just got Xbox live and everytime they connect to Xbox live, the laptop loses its internet connection and my pc's internet is reseted ( I loose connection for a few seconds).

I'm using a wrt100 linksys router with internet wired directly to my PC.

Only two other components are my Laptop and Xbox 360

So far I tried solutions I found with google,

I tried giving my xbox a static IP (192.168.1.xxx) outside the range of my router. Didnt work

I tried reserving a ip in the range of my router to the mac adresse of my xbox, didnt work.

Any help is welcomed

First if you set it outside the range it will not recognize it.

I'm not sure why dynamic is not working but if you want to go Static, all devices that are static need to be set within the range your router allocates. So if your router allocates 192.168.1. (100-255) Set your xbox and laptop to like 192.168.1.150 and 192.168.200 . Your router should now have a good buffer before it hits the static IPs.
