Wasn't the Supra like 80k when it came out? Besides, a Supra at around 30k, plus a badass 1000hp build is very close, if not more than 80k

^^^More like 36K (says Car and Driver for a 1993 Supra Turbo). I doubt the Canadian MSRP went all the way up to 80K.

I'll admit though, throughout the '90s, the MSRP on these cars went up. For example, 45k for a 1996 300ZX TT:

Damn, the 300ZX TT was in Car and Driver's 10 best of the year throughout its existence in America (1990-96)
On another note, the Prelude was only 23k back in 1993:

I think the TT model was indeed close to 80k like headbanger said. It was expensive and way more than 36k for sure
I know we used/still to get rape pretty badly from US price to Canadian price, but 44k more, that's ALOT. The 36K is for the Turbo model. Once again, I'm not saying it is impossible that it was indeed 80k or close to (like 70, 75k) in Canada especially for 95, 96, 97 model since the prices on these cars went up since there was a drop in sales because of the economic slowdown of the early/mid '90s.

I'm pretty sure the TT model was more than 36k in the US. The base sale price might be right but this is a rare car and dealers were probably selling them at higher prices due to demand. I always heard it was around 70-80k brand new so maybe around 55k in US? I would really like to have some confirmation on this here...

In the 1997 Guide de l'auto the Supra Twin Turbo auto was 79k, the manual was 82k, so 80k when-new price is legit for last year of production for Canada... In the US the release price in 1993 for the turbo was 46k, soaring to 55k in 1998... Don't forget the CDN$ was not on par with the US$ like now 15-20yrs ago...

Yeah even in the states they had a hard time justifying 55k us$ due to the vette costing 12k less...

Regardless, a GT-R with an Alpha 12+ or a Switzer Ultimate Street kit would kill that Supra, but it still wouldn't be as cool as an Aventador

La moral de l'histoire c'est que peu importe ce que tu conduit et le budjet investi, il en a toujours un qui va arriver avec un set-up encore plus mongole que le tiens pi tout le monde ce fait passer un jour ou l'autre.
*tu* à une course de 2000hp dans la rue, c'est rare et ca doit être malade de voir ca en vrai!
