Killingcivics 1985 Ford Mustang aka Canadian Cobra

Still working on it. Almost ready for paint but my two hatches are rough. I'm looking for a cleaner one to minimize the metal work then it's being painted.6864978191.jpg

I might review and redo this but this where I'm at.

About to actually have something nice. I feel weird after all this time. Currently shopping for an extra 49 cubic inches.PXL_20221219_201826401.jpgPXL_20221219_210133269.jpgPXL_20221219_210144500.jpgPXL_20221219_210146336.jpg

Time for a quick recap.

First picture is 2020 then 2021 as the repairs began, then monday and finally today.

Not done yet by a long shot but this is something I have been wanting and never sure it would happen.

More pics as the assembly continues 20201117_130330_HDR.jpg20211215_141138_HDR.jpgPXL_20221219_210133269.jpgPXL_20221221_204219329.jpg

Beyond happy with his work to bring back a clapped out foxbody.

The colour is amazing it looks deeper than the ocean. PXL_20221221_205437312.jpgPXL_20221221_204219329.jpgPXL_20221221_203724509.jpgPXL_20221221_203715601.jpgPXL_20221221_203727843.jpg

Right now a healthy 302, but most probably a 351w for now until I have the time to do another motor right.

Coyote+ tr3650+ harness= 10-15k with subframe, hydro boost, etc.

Plastic welding is fun.

Bumper cover was ripped on an offroad excursion a couple years ago.

Since I've been working on the exterior, time to start on the interior.

These are very very rare 1980-1981 black door cards. Anyone owning a fox body know that 99% the vinyl and cardboard doorcards seem to completely soften up and fall apart. However in 1979-1981they were plastic and solid. The 1979 had the door handles in a weird spot.

Center console is actually black. Originally from the same car as the door panels.

Since the previous owners had not kept the interior clean and it was blown apart why.

The lower carpets will come with time as with some other stuff.PXL_20230117_000150134.jpgPXL_20230117_000208912.jpg

Not a lot of progress, instead started to focus on something I will need to do.

Bought a 1996 explorer gt40 motor for $500
Filthy oily but low kms. Going to strip it down, new bearings, rings, cam, springs and put it all back in. Should be a nice street motor with some spice. Eventually I will build something bigger and meaner.

Sold the intake for $250 perfect price for a core.

If you are wondering why another engine well because I can build this on the side and swap it in over a weekend. A project car that does not run is a dead project very quickly.

Bonus OSHA safety picture. My neighbor is nuts.received_600811951617287.jpgreceived_893239881886242.jpg
