If your an attention whore, get a Welder

ahah, I have a welder and it's true it'S an attention getter.

it's HUGE.. the nixon fans run and hide when they think they wear a big watch.

I still have a Tissot and an older leather nixon, but for now I like to wear the Welder.

My next watch will be an ultra-thin one, just to go the opposite way

I just picked up this one for 175$ shipping included on eBay:

Amen. I hate nixon with a passion...trendy garbage watches.

Thats a rolex DSSD, retails for over $10 000...highly doubt you have that watch if you don't know what it is

Ces trois montres la ensemble valent environ 20 000$.

Honestly op don't get a Nixon. New, within your budget you'll find hamilton (excellent quality, swatch group brand), tissot (same as hamilton), citizen and seiko do make good affordable watches but the finish gets scratched up pretty bad pretty quickly and citizen's crystals aren't anything to write home about. If you want an automatic watch with swiss movement in the 500-700 range new I would suggest debaufre/steinhart. They aren't as well known as other major brands but do offer a good quality product.

Steinhart watches
Debaufre watches

If you're looking at used high quality watches then a quartz breitling or omega seamaster can be had for 1000-1500 bucks. I just sold my first gen Omega seamaster blue dial for 1000$ after upgrading to a current model.

Here's a pic of what you can get used for a grand:

Honeslty for used watches there's just a ton of information on this site:

Watchuseek watch forum

Go in the private sales section ans search away...I bought and sold a few 1000$+ watches on there and most people are actually there to share a hobby. Scammers do exist so you have to ask the right questions for sure but that's probably your best bet.

And since the Seamaster is pobably my favourite watch, here are a few kijiji links to some used watches for sale. Watch out for fakes one of them (New in box never opened for 1000$) looks like a fake.

PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks make, that's a Altanus deepsea-dweller LOL.

actually I totally agree with you, getting an omega seamaster off the used market is the best choice one can make, getting amazing quality for not a lot!

What the hell is wrong with you people that complain about a guy who simply asks for advice on watches?

Seriously some of you guys need to chill the heck out. Having a bad day?

wtf

Hamilton & Tissot are probably your best bets in this price range. Sector makes some cool chronos too.

But if you look you can get deals on other more expensive brands and they can be in your price range, including certain Tag models.

You can also look at Rado and Movado if you want a different style. I personally really like Rado.

There's lot's of watches out there, look at watches.com and you can find A LOT.

Longines is another very respectable brand that certain models can be had for around 1000$.

This looks a lot like my iwc Portuguese for much less money. I want one in black.
